Two big questions. Where did we come from and where are we going after we die? Some say that there was a Big Bang and the a process of evolution took millions of years to create human beings and that when the human dies he simply returns to the dirt.
If this were true it would have mean that the Universe is eternal or you would have to believe something came from nothing. For example, the Big Bang, what blew up and where did it blow up at? You would also have to believe that Universe randomly created every complex thing we see today. Which do you think is more complex: a 747 Jet, Cell Phone, or an earthworm? If you guessed an earthworm you were correct. While mankind can create something as complex as a jet or cell phone it cannot even create an earthworm.
The answer to the question of orgins lays the foundation to the question of afterlife.
First, Romans 1 tells us that we are without excuse because God has given evidence of His existence through His creation. We look at a building and can plainly see that there must be a buildier. In the same way we can look at the creation and accept there must be a Creator.
Secondly, the Bible can be tested. It is sold or given away at the rate of 168,000 copies a day. It is proven by fulfilled prophecy and the consequences of adhering to its statments. It predicted with exactness the rise and fall of specific nations and the life and death of Christ. For specific evidences read read" Evidence that Demands a Verdict" by Josh McDowell or "A Case for Faith" by Lee Stobel.
